The Kathleen Grimm School (PS 62), located on Staten Island, is the first net-zero-energy school in New York City and one of the first of its kind in the world. Designed to generate as much energy from on-site renewable sources as it consumes, the school serves as a benchmark for sustainable public school design nationwide. The project was delivered for Client: SCA with architectural design by SOM.
